Worl Kidney Day: Are your kidneys ok?
Worl Kidney Day
On March 13, the Renal Pathophysiology Laboratory joined global activities in commemoration of World Kidney Day, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of kidney health. Under the slogan “Are Your Kidneys OK?”, this year’s campaign emphasized prevention through a healthy diet, the management of chronic diseases, and early consultation with specialists in the presence of warning signs or risk factors for chronic kidney disease.
As part of this event, the laboratory team set up informational stands at San Sebastián University, both at the Los Leones and Bellavista campuses, where educational brochures were distributed, and questions about kidney health were addressed. Additionally, the team actively participated in the Renal Health Fair, held at Balmaceda Park in Providencia. This event brought together various institutions and was supported by the Ministry of Health and the Chilean Society of Nephrology.
The high turnout and community interest highlight the importance of continuing to promote the prevention and early diagnosis of kidney diseases. At the Renal Pathophysiology Laboratory, we reaffirm our commitment to research and education in kidney health, contributing to improving the population’s quality of life.
