Symposium of Aldosterone and Cardiorenal Health: State of the art, challenges, and new opportunities for improving the understanding and clinical practice

Universidad San Sebastián Hosted the Symposium of Aldosterone and Cardiorenal Health

The event, organized by the Chilean Society of Hypertension in collaboration with Universidad San Sebastián, brought together leading national and international specialists to discuss advances and challenges related to aldosterone, hypertension, and cardiovascular and renal health.

On September 5, Universidad San Sebastián hosted the “Symposium of Aldosterone and Cardiorenal Health: State of the Art, Challenges, and New Opportunities for Improving Understanding and Clinical Practice,” a scientific meeting organized by the Chilean Society of Hypertension.

The event took place at the Los Leones Campus, bringing together researchers, healthcare professionals, and students to discuss a topic of growing relevance in cardiovascular and renal medicine: the role of aldosterone and the mineralocorticoid receptor in the development and progression of cardiorenal diseases.

The symposium featured the participation of renowned international researcher Dr. Frederic Jaisser from France. He was joined by prominent Chilean specialists Dr. Carlos Fardella, Dr. Rodrigo Tagle, and Dr. Luis Michea, who addressed different aspects related to the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of aldosterone-associated diseases.

The meeting provided an important space for scientific exchange and discussion among specialists, strengthening collaboration and dialogue around emerging knowledge and therapeutic strategies for the management of cardiovascular and renal diseases.

Through this initiative, the Laboratory of Renal Pathophysiology and the Chilean Society of Hypertension reaffirmed their commitment to promoting opportunities for education, scientific exchange, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of cardiorenal health.
