We are pleased to announce that on June 16th, our doctoral student Stefanny Figueroa successfully presented and passed her public defense, marking the successful culmination of her doctoral work. Her dedication and determination throughout the 4.5-year process have been admirable, showcasing impressive resilience in overcoming obstacles with a positive attitude and perseverance. Additionally, her outstanding teamwork has contributed to the collaborative atmosphere of our laboratory. As the first doctoral candidate in our laboratory, she has paved the way for future researchers and has made an indelible mark on our academic community. A memory or thesis of undergraduate degrees corresponding to Biological and Health Sciences (Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology Engineering, Medical Technology, etc.), to join the Renal Physiopathology Laboratory of Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Autonomous University of Chile.

The thesis work will be framed in the context of High Blood Pressure, so the area of knowledge is related closely with Renal/Cardiovascular Physiology and Pathophysiology.

Call for medical students - Biomedical research in our laboratory

Within the framework of the general agreement in academic cooperation between the Polytechnic and Artistic University of Paraguay (UPAP) and the Autonomous University of Chile (UA), students of Medicine career at Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) are invited to apply a fellowship in order to visit during one month the Renal Pathophysiology Laboratory of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the Autonomous University of Chile. This fellowship includes the participation in the annual Congress of the Chilean Society of Nephrology, to be held at the Coquimbo city (October, 2019), Chile.
